Retail AI Chatbot and Automation for Ecommerce Sellers

Chatbots and workflow automation that answer repeat customer questions and handle routine order tasks, with a human taking over when it matters.

This page covers AI chatbots and automation for retail and ecommerce sellers. In practice that means a WhatsApp or website assistant that answers where is my order, handles size and stock questions, and confirms COD orders, plus background automations that save your team from repetitive typing.

Most retail support questions are the same twenty questions. A well-scoped bot clears those and passes the rest to a person with the chat history attached. We do not promise that AI replaces your support staff. We aim to free them from the repeats so they can handle exceptions.

What retail and ecommerce need from AI

01

Order status without a phone call

The bulk of post-purchase queries are about tracking and delivery dates. A bot that reads your order system and courier status answers instantly, at any hour.

02

COD confirmation before dispatch

A WhatsApp message asking the buyer to confirm address and order catches fake or mistaken COD orders before the parcel ships. Even a partial response rate saves return costs.

03

Product advice grounded in your catalogue

Buyers ask about fit, material, compatibility and stock. The assistant must answer from your real product data and say 'I am not sure' instead of guessing.

04

Clean handover to a human

Complaints, refunds and angry messages need a person quickly. The bot should recognise them, stop answering and pass the conversation with context.

What we build for retail AI

01

WhatsApp order-status assistant

Customers send an order number or phone number and get status and tracking link. It connects to your store or order tool through its API, using the WhatsApp Business platform.

02

COD verification flow

Automatic message on a new COD order, with confirm or cancel buttons and a flag in the order admin. Unconfirmed orders go to a short review list instead of shipping.

03

Catalogue Q&A assistant

A chat on your site that answers from product descriptions, size charts and policy pages. We test it against real past questions before it goes live.

04

Back-office automations

Tasks such as tagging new products, drafting product descriptions for staff review, sorting return reasons or summarising daily support chats. Each output is reviewed by a person.

When this is the wrong choice. If you receive a handful of messages a day, a saved-replies list in WhatsApp Business is enough. A bot pays off once repeat queries take a person hours every week.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,00,000 (excl. GST)

WhatsApp conversation charges and AI model usage are running costs billed by those providers. The quote depends on the systems to connect and the number of flows.

Questions we get asked

Can the bot answer in Hindi and Marathi?

Yes, in most cases. Modern models handle Hindi and Marathi reasonably, including mixed Hinglish. We test with real customer messages from your chats and tune the replies. Anything uncertain is passed to your team instead of guessed.

Will the AI make up prices or stock?

It should not. We restrict the assistant to read prices and stock from your system, not recall them from memory. If data is missing it says so and offers a human. We test for this before launch.

Does it need the WhatsApp Business API?

For a bot on your business number, yes. The regular WhatsApp Business app does not allow automation at that level. We help with API access through an approved provider, and you pay their messaging charges.

What happens to customer chat data?

We store only what the workflow needs, in your accounts where possible, and explain which AI provider processes the text. You should mention it in your privacy policy. Ask your adviser about data-protection obligations. We confirm the exact approach for your case during the free discovery call.
