Custom Software Development in Chennai for Manufacturers and Exporters

Workflow software for Chennai factories, exporters and hospitals. Built by a Pune and Nashik studio, delivered in stages you can use.

NioDelta is a Pune and Nashik studio, and we write custom software for Chennai businesses over video calls and shared prototypes. Our work with Staffly, an HR and payroll product, and Shiksha CRM, a school system, taught us how to turn a messy manual process into a tool people actually use. We stay in touch weekly throughout.

Chennai companies often already own accounting or ERP software. The gap is usually around it: a supplier portal, a shop-floor entry screen, an export document tracker or a dealer order system. We tend to build the small custom layer that connects to what you have, and avoid replacing the whole system.

Custom software and web applications start at ₹1,50,000, with a fixed written quote after a discovery call. The drivers are roles, workflows, integrations and data migration. This page covers the situations in Chennai where a build makes sense, and where it does not. Small first releases are priced and delivered separately, so you can test value before committing more.

Where custom software fits in Chennai firms

01

Supplier and dealer portals

Engineering and auto-linked firms deal with many suppliers and dealers by email and phone. A portal where they raise orders, upload documents and check status reduces repeated follow-ups. Each external user needs login control and a clear permission set.

02

Shop-floor and quality entry

Factories still record rejections, downtime and inspection results on paper. A tablet or phone entry screen can capture them at the machine and feed a daily report. It must be fast and simple, because operators will skip a form that takes long.

03

Export and shipment tracking

Exporters coordinate invoices, packing lists, shipping bills and container status across several people. A tracker that keeps each shipment's documents and next step in one view cuts the chase. We do not replace customs systems, we sit beside them.

04

Hospitals and diagnostic chains

Healthcare groups manage appointments, referrals and reports across branches. Custom software can unify branch data and offer simple dashboards. Patient data rules are strict, so access, logging and hosting are agreed before building.

How a Chennai project is run

01

Process mapping first

Before writing code we map one real week of your process with the people who do it. This surfaces the exceptions that an owner usually forgets to mention. It also gives us a shared picture to test the build against.

02

Releases you can pilot

We ship a small first release to one team or one branch. Feedback from real use shapes the second release, which is cheaper than correcting a finished system.

03

Clear ownership and billing

Source code and hosting are handed to you at the end. Invoices carry GST and follow agreed milestones, with a written change process for extra requests.

What it costs

Custom software starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. 18% GST)

This is our starting price with the 50% launch discount applied for a web application or internal system. Multi-branch systems or heavy integrations are quoted after a discovery call.

  • Number of roles and approval steps
  • Integration with ERP, Tally or other systems
  • Document and file handling needs
  • Data migration and report volume

Prices exclude 18% GST. Every quote is fixed and written.

Chennai questions

Should we build a supplier portal or extend our ERP?

Check what your ERP vendor can offer first, including cost and delay. If the vendor cannot deliver a simple external-facing portal at a fair price, a separate portal that reads from the ERP is often quicker. We review both options in discovery.

Can the software work on a factory floor with weak Wi-Fi?

Yes, with design for it. Entries are saved on the device and sent when the connection returns. Screens use large buttons and few fields. We test with operators, not only managers, because their patience decides whether the tool is used.

Do you build for Tamil-speaking staff?

Yes. Interfaces can offer Tamil labels for shop-floor users, with English kept for reports and management. Your team supplies the Tamil wording so technical terms match what operators already use on the floor.

How is custom software different from what an ERP vendor offers?

An ERP vendor sells a general system with set modules. Custom software follows your own process, which helps where your way of working is unusual. The trade-off is that you own the maintenance, so we hand over documentation and offer support.

What if our requirements change mid-project?

Change is normal. We keep a written change log, estimate each addition, and you decide whether to include it now or later. This stops scope growing unseen, and it keeps the fixed quote meaningful for the work that was agreed.
