Agriculture Web App Development for FPOs, Traders and Agri Platforms

Browser-based tools for procurement, farmer records, price boards and field teams. Built around how produce is actually collected, graded and paid for.

This page covers web app development for agriculture: software people log in to, rather than a marketing site. Typical users are FPOs, aggregators, cold chain operators, input distributors and agri-tech startups running procurement or farmer networks.

The hard part is rarely the screens. It is modelling a messy chain: a farmer, a collection centre, a weighbridge slip, a grade, a rate that changes daily, and a payment that may be partly advance. We sort that workflow out in discovery before any design starts.

What agri web apps must handle

01

Farmer and plot records

A farmer has a name, village, bank details, land size and crops, often shared across family members. The app needs simple onboarding by a field executive, with Aadhaar-style identity fields handled carefully and only if you truly need them.

02

Procurement by weight and grade

Entries come from a weighbridge or a collection agent, with moisture or grade deductions. Totals must be reproducible, so a farmer who disputes a slip can see exactly how the amount was reached.

03

Rates that change daily

Rate cards vary by crop, grade, centre and date. Backdated edits must be logged, because they directly change what someone gets paid.

04

Payments and reconciliation

Payments go out by bank transfer or UPI, sometimes net of advances or input credit. Finance needs a clean ledger per farmer and an export that matches Tally or the accountant's format.

What we build for agriculture teams

01

Procurement and collection portal

Collection entries, grading, deductions and payable amount per farmer, with a printed or WhatsApp-shared slip. Works on a phone browser at the collection centre.

02

Mandi and price board

A page that shows daily rates you enter or import, filtered by crop and centre, with a short history chart. Source and time of each rate are always shown.

03

FPO member dashboard

Members, shares, produce supplied and payouts in one place, with role-based access for the CEO, accountant and field staff.

04

Input sales and credit tracker

Seed, fertiliser and equipment issued against future produce, with outstanding balances and GST invoices.

When this is the wrong choice. If your need is a catalogue or enquiry form, a normal website is cheaper and faster. If farmers themselves must use it daily in the field with poor connectivity, you probably want a mobile app with offline mode instead. Also skip it if your procurement volume is small enough that a shared spreadsheet still reconciles at month end.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. GST) for a web app

Cost moves with the number of user roles, integrations such as accounting or SMS, and how much reporting you need. Quoted fixed after a discovery call.

Questions we get asked

Can the app calculate payouts after moisture and grade deductions?

Yes, if you give us your deduction rules. We build them as configurable rules, not hard-coded numbers, so you can change them by season. Every slip stores the inputs used, which helps when a farmer questions an amount.

Can farmers log in themselves?

They can, though many FPOs prefer that field staff enter data first. We can add a simple read-only farmer view by mobile number and OTP showing slips and payments. Low literacy and shared phones shape how we design this.

Does it connect to Tally or our accountant's format?

We can export vouchers or ledgers in a format your accountant can import, and plan direct integration where the accounting software offers an API. We confirm the exact method in discovery, since versions and setups differ. Staff can reset access if a phone is lost.

Can it handle several collection centres?

Yes. Each centre gets its own users, stock and rate card, while head office sees combined totals. Centre staff only see their own data, so one location cannot change another's entries. Head office can also move stock between centres.
