Crypto & Web3 Ecommerce Website Development
Online stores for Web3 brands, hardware and merchandise sellers, with normal INR checkout and optional token-gated access.
This page covers online stores run by crypto and Web3 businesses: a brand selling merchandise to its community, a seller of hardware wallets and mining accessories, a creator with limited drops, or a project offering membership perks. It is about selling physical or digital goods, not about running an exchange.
Most Web3 shops make one early mistake. They add crypto payment first and forget that Indian buyers still want UPI, cards and cash on delivery. We start from the ordinary store that works, then add Web3 features only where they serve a customer: holder-only access, verified ownership discounts, or proof of purchase. Payment acceptance for crypto is a separate legal question for your adviser.
What Web3 sellers need from an ecommerce site
INR checkout first
UPI, cards, netbanking and COD through a gateway such as Razorpay cover most buyers. Some gateways decline crypto-linked merchants, so account approval should be checked before the store is built.
Gated access that does not lock out normal buyers
A holder-only drop is fine if a visitor can still see the product and understand why they cannot buy. Wallet checks should be fast, optional where possible and never ask for more than a signature.
Limited stock handled fairly
Drops create sudden load and arguments about who got what. The store needs stock reservation during checkout, purchase limits per customer and a clear queue or timer.
GST and shipping that are correct
Merchandise and hardware attract GST at the rate that applies to each item, with proper invoices. Hardware wallets also need serial number tracking and a clear returns rule, since opened devices cannot be resold.
What we build for Web3 stores
Standard storefront with Web3 touches
Catalogue, cart, UPI and card checkout, order tracking and GST invoices, with a wallet connect button for members. We usually use Shopify or a custom build, based on how unusual your drops are.
Drop and allowlist module
Timed releases, per-wallet limits and a member list imported from your community records. The cart holds stock for a short, visible period.
Digital product delivery
For downloadable art, licences or event passes, secure links that expire and a record of what each buyer received. Tokens, if used, are minted by a contract your own team owns.
Support and returns workflow
Order lookup by email or order number, replacement requests for damaged devices and refund records that match your accounts.
What it costs
Token-gated access, drop mechanics and custom order rules sit above the starting figure. We give a fixed written quote after a discovery call.
Questions we get asked
Can the store accept crypto as payment?
It can be built, but we advise caution. Accepting crypto raises tax, accounting and regulatory questions that your adviser should answer first. Most Indian stores take INR through UPI or cards and offer crypto, if at all, through a licensed payment partner.
Is Shopify enough for a Web3 merch store?
Often yes. Shopify handles products, checkout and GST invoices well, and wallet checks can be added through an app or a small custom layer. A custom build makes sense when drops, allowlists or on-chain proofs are central to how you sell.
How do you stop bots from buying a whole drop?
We combine per-customer limits, short stock holds, OTP verification and a queue. Nothing stops every bot, but these steps make bulk buying hard and cheap to detect. We also keep logs so you can cancel suspicious orders before shipping.
Do you sell or mint NFTs for us?
We build the store and the wallet connection. The NFT contract, minting and any legal review stay with your own team and advisers. We can integrate with a contract you already have, and we will tell you if a plan looks risky for buyers.
