Law firm website and software development in India
Websites, intake forms, appointment booking and client document portals for advocates and law firms. We build the software. Your firm decides what it may say.
A law firm website has an unusual job. It must be findable and clear, yet restrained, because the Bar Council of India rules limit how advocates may advertise. Law firm website and software development here means building something informative and professional, without soliciting, and handling client documents with care. Done well, it also reduces unstructured calls.
We work with solo advocates, boutique firms and legal service businesses across India. We build the site, the enquiry and booking flows, and secure portals for sharing documents. We are not lawyers and we do not interpret the rules for you. Your firm must check its own compliance before publishing.
Where law firm digital work goes wrong
Rules about advertising
The Bar Council of India rules restrict advocates from soliciting work, and what counts as permitted information has been debated. Copy about wins, rankings or fee offers can create trouble. Your firm must review its content against the current rules.
Enquiries with no structure
A contact form that says only Message gives you vague emails. Partners lose time asking which court, which city and how urgent. Intake should collect the facts a first call needs, nothing more.
Documents shared on WhatsApp and email
Clients send Aadhaar copies, agreements and notices through personal chats. Files get lost, versions mix, and confidential papers sit on phones. A firm needs a controlled place for documents.
Missed hearings and follow-ups
Dates live in diaries, calendars and juniors' memory. Clients ask for updates by phone because there is no simple status view. Reminders and case notes scattered across tools cost time.
What we build for law firms
Practice-area websites
Clear pages for each area of practice, attorney profiles with factual qualifications, office locations and a plain contact route. Content tone is informative, and a disclaimer page is included for your counsel to word.
Structured enquiry intake
A form that asks matter type, city or court, and preferred contact time, with a consent note on data use. Enquiries go to the right partner by email or a dashboard, and are not shown publicly.
Consultation booking
Clients pick a slot for a phone, video or office meeting. Firms can take a consultation fee through UPI before the slot, with GST invoicing handled in the system if you charge one.
Client document portal
Clients log in to upload and download documents for their matter. Access is per client and per matter, files are encrypted, and every download is logged.
Case and hearing tracker
Internal tool for matter lists, next hearing dates, task assignments to juniors and reminders by email or WhatsApp to staff. Clients can see a simple status line if you choose.
Legal knowledge pages
Articles and guides written by your advocates for public information, with a clear note that they are general information, not legal advice. The firm approves every page before it goes live.
How a law firm build runs
Discover
We meet partners and the office manager to see how an enquiry becomes a client and how documents move today. We also ask who will review site content for Bar Council compliance.
Define
We agree page list, intake fields, user roles and what data is stored. You get a written scope and fixed quote, plus a content checklist for your counsel.
Design
The design is sober and readable. We design the portal login and upload screens for clients who are not technical and may be using older phones.
Build
We build with encryption, access logs and backups from the start. Content goes in only after your firm has approved the wording.
Ship & extend
We launch with schema, sitemap and redirects, and support you for one month. Portal and tracker features can be added in later phases.
What it costs
A firm website with intake and booking starts at ₹45,000. A client document portal or case tracker is custom software starting at ₹1,50,000, quoted after a discovery call.

Questions we get asked
Can you tell us what a law firm website may say under Bar Council rules?
No. We are not lawyers and cannot advise on the Bar Council of India rules. Your firm should review all site content against the current rules before publishing. We build pages and flows, and leave wording to your advocates and any compliance adviser you use.
Can the site show client testimonials or case results?
That is a compliance question for your firm to settle with the rules, not a design choice. We can build a testimonial section but will not add one unless you confirm it is permitted. Many firms choose to leave it out.
How are client documents kept secure?
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited per client and matter, and downloads are logged. Staff roles control who sees what. No system is risk free, so we also recommend strong passwords, two-step login and a clear data retention policy.
Can clients book a consultation online?
Yes. Clients choose a slot and mode, and you can charge a consultation fee through UPI or card before confirmation. The system sends reminders and a GST invoice if you collect a fee. Partners can set their own hours and block dates.
Do you integrate with court systems?
We can store hearing dates you enter and send reminders. Automatic sync with court portals depends on what data is available and allowed, and is not guaranteed. We would assess it during discovery and tell you plainly what is feasible.
How long does a law firm website take?
A business website takes six to ten weeks, and content approval by your partners often decides the pace. A client portal or case tracker is custom software, scoped after a discovery call based on roles and document flows.
