Pharma and Medical Supply Mobile App Development

Flutter or React Native apps for pharma sales teams, delivery staff and trade customers, built on one codebase for Android and iOS.

This page covers pharma and medical supply mobile app development for distributors and wholesalers: a salesman order app, a chemist ordering app and a delivery app. It is for trade use. Apps selling or advising on medicines to the public are heavily regulated and not what this page covers.

The salesman app is usually the first to pay back. A rep visits thirty chemists a day, writes orders on paper and sends photos at night. Typing errors and lost chits follow. An app captures the order on the spot, shows the chemist's dues and sends one clean record to the office.

What pharma teams need from a mobile app

01

Offline order capture

Salesmen work in lanes and basements with weak signal. Orders must save on the phone and sync when the network returns, without losing or duplicating them.

02

Fast product search

A catalogue has thousands of lines with similar names. Search by brand, salt and partial spelling, with recent and frequent items on top.

03

Delivery proof

Delivery staff need a list by route, a way to capture signature or photo and a cash or UPI collection record. Proof reduces disputes over what was delivered.

04

Cold-chain visibility

For temperature-sensitive stock, staff may log pack-out time or temperature readings entered by hand. Hardware loggers can be integrated later if you have them.

What we build for pharma mobile apps

01

Salesman order app

Visit list, chemist dues, order entry with scheme display and a reorder button. Works offline and sends orders to the office dashboard.

02

Chemist ordering app

Chemists reorder, track status and see statements. Push alerts about dispatch and new stock replace phone calls from your desk.

03

Delivery and collection app

Route list, status updates, proof of delivery and payment collection marking. Managers see deliveries live on a simple board.

04

Admin dashboard

A web panel for pricing, customers, salesman targets and order review. The app is only as good as this back office.

When this is the wrong choice. If you have eight chemists who order by phone, an app is overbuilt. A web ordering page or WhatsApp catalogue costs less and can be added to later. Ask us during discovery and we will say plainly if a cheaper route fits your size and budget better, even if it means a smaller project for us.

What it costs

Starts at ₹2,00,000 (excl. GST) for a mobile app

A first version takes 10-12 weeks. Offline sync, billing integration, number of apps and roles raise the cost, so we quote after discovery.

Questions we get asked

Should we start with the salesman app or the chemist app?

Usually the salesman app. You control who uses it, adoption is a management decision and the saving shows quickly in fewer order errors. The chemist app depends on hundreds of independent businesses downloading it, so start there only if your buyers already ask for it.

Can the app work without internet?

Yes for order capture and viewing cached customer and product data. Orders queue on the phone and send when the signal returns. Live stock and dues need a connection, so the app shows when data was last refreshed to avoid wrong promises.

Can the app scan barcodes for batch and expiry?

It can scan product barcodes using the phone camera, which helps in stock checks and delivery verification. Batch and expiry details come from your stock data or are keyed in. We confirm what your packs and billing system support before scoping.

Will salesmen on low-end Android phones manage?

Yes. We design for low memory and slow data, keep screens simple and test on older devices. Many field teams use budget phones, and the app should not need a new handset for each rep.
