Custom Software Development for Real Estate Companies

Internal systems for developers, property managers and large brokerages whose process does not fit off-the-shelf tools: costing, approvals, site progress and tenant billing.

This page covers custom software development for real estate: back-office systems built around how your company works. Think of the tools your finance, projects and facilities teams use daily, not the public website. Examples include vendor and contractor billing, site progress tracking, and a property management system for a rental portfolio.

Packaged software is the sensible first choice for generic accounting or CRM. Custom software starts to make sense when your workflow is a competitive habit, such as an approval chain across site engineers and directors, or when three tools hold overlapping data and staff retype it between them every week.

What real estate firms need from custom software

01

Approvals that follow your hierarchy

Purchase orders and contractor bills often pass through site engineer, project head and finance. The system must route by project and amount, keep the history, and stop a bill from being paid twice.

02

Cost against budget, per project

Directors want to know what each tower has spent against plan without waiting for month-end. That needs vendor bills coded to project heads and visible in a simple report.

03

Site data from people with phones

Progress updates, material received and labour counts are captured by site staff, often with weak signal. Entry must be quick, work offline, and accept photos.

04

A migration path from spreadsheets

Years of data sit in Excel and Tally exports. Good software plans for importing it, running both systems side by side for a short time, and retiring the old sheets deliberately.

What we build for real estate operations

01

Vendor and contractor billing

Work orders, measurement-based running bills, retention tracking and payment status. Reports export in the format your accountant needs for their own books.

02

Construction progress tracker

A site-level log of stages completed, with photos and dates, rolled up for management. Customers can optionally be shown selected updates through a portal.

03

Property and tenant management

Lease records, rent schedules, escalation dates, maintenance tickets and deposit tracking for a portfolio. Reminders go to staff and tenants on WhatsApp and email.

04

Integration layer between your tools

If sales, accounts and projects each run separate software, we connect them so a booking creates the billing schedule and a received payment updates the unit record.

When this is the wrong choice. If a standard CRM or accounting package already covers 80 percent of your needs, configure that first. Custom software is a poor use of budget when the real problem is that staff do not follow any process yet.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. GST); final price quoted after a discovery call

Cost depends on the number of modules, user roles, approval rules, data migration and integrations. We write a fixed quote only after mapping your process in discovery.

Questions we get asked

Can custom software replace Tally for us?

Usually not, and we would advise against it. Accounting and statutory compliance are well served by established packages. We build the operational system around it and exchange data cleanly, so your accountant keeps working in familiar software.

How long does a project accounting system take?

It depends on scope, so we do not quote a standard timeline. A focused first release covering billing and approvals for one project is far quicker than a full suite. We usually recommend starting small and extending.

Who owns the code after delivery?

You do. The code and data belong to your company, and we hand over documentation. After launch you get one month of support, and a care plan is available if you want us to keep maintaining it.

What if our site staff refuse to use it?

This is the common failure. We design the field screens with your site engineers, keep entry to a few taps, and run a short pilot on one site first. Adoption problems show up early, when they are cheap to fix.
