Salon & Spa Custom Software Development

Management software for salon and spa groups that have outgrown billing tools: central control, stock, incentives and franchise reports.

This page covers custom software for salon and spa businesses with several outlets or franchisees: a central system for pricing, stock, staff payroll and incentives, and owner reports across locations. It is for groups whose way of working does not fit off-the-shelf salon billing software.

Single-outlet owners are usually well served by ready tools. The trouble starts at the third or fourth branch. Prices differ by outlet, a product moves between stores, a franchisee disputes royalty, and the owner waits until month end to see figures. Custom software puts the rules of your group into one system. We build it in stages, so the first release solves the sharpest pain, not everything at once.

What salon and spa groups need from custom software

01

Central pricing with outlet exceptions

Head office sets the service menu and price, and an outlet in a premium mall may carry a different rate. The system should hold both and show which applies on each bill.

02

Stock that moves between outlets

Colour tubes, spa oils and retail products are bought centrally and transferred. Back-bar usage per service is hard to measure, so we use simple consumption rules that managers can check.

03

Incentives and attendance that match payroll

Stylists earn base pay plus incentives tied to targets, product sales or rebooking. Calculating this by hand invites disputes, so rules should run automatically and show how each figure was reached.

04

Franchise and royalty reporting

If outlets are franchised, royalty is often a share of billing. Reports must be exact and visible to both sides, with GST handled per legal entity.

What we build for salon and spa groups

01

Head office control panel

Manage services, prices, offers and outlet settings from one place, with change history. New outlets are set up by copying a template.

02

Inventory and purchase module

Central purchase orders, stock transfers, expiry tracking and low-stock alerts. Counts at outlets are done on a phone with barcode or manual entry.

03

Staff, attendance and incentive engine

Shifts, leave, commission slabs and advance recovery, producing a payroll sheet your accountant can check. Rules are editable by HR, not hard-coded.

04

Owner dashboard and integrations

Revenue, footfall, rebooking rate and staff performance by outlet. Connectors to your accounting software and to your existing billing tool can be added.

When this is the wrong choice. If you have one or two outlets, buy a ready salon management tool first. Come back to custom work when you can name specific rules that the tool cannot handle.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. GST) for custom software

Cost depends on the number of modules, outlets and integrations. We quote a fixed price in writing after a discovery call, and often split it into phases so the first module goes live early.

Questions we get asked

Why not just use a ready salon billing tool?

You should, until it blocks you. If your group needs outlet-specific prices, central stock, custom incentive slabs or franchise royalty, off-the-shelf tools often force workarounds in spreadsheets. We ask for the three workarounds that hurt most, and check if a tool fixes them before suggesting a build.

Can it connect to the billing system we use today?

Often yes, if that tool has an API or export. We read sales data from it and build the missing parts around it, instead of replacing everything. If it has no usable export, we tell you before work begins, since that changes the scope.

How long do staff need to learn it?

Front desk and stylists use a few simple screens, typically learned in a short session. Managers and HR need a bit more. We provide training in Hindi, Marathi or English and a one-page guide per role, and support the team for a month after launch.

Can we start with one module and add more later?

Yes, and we recommend it. Many groups begin with stock or incentives, because that is where money leaks. The data model is planned for the full system, so later modules plug in without rebuilding what already works.
