Salon & Spa Web App Development: Booking, Staff, Billing

One browser-based system for appointments, staff schedules, packages and billing, so the front desk stops juggling diaries and WhatsApp threads.

This page is about the working software of a salon or spa: the appointment calendar, staff schedules, customer records, packages and memberships, and billing at the counter. It runs in a browser, so it works on the reception PC, a tablet or the owner's phone. For the public website, see our salon website page.

A busy salon loses money in small ways. A double booking, a no-show nobody reminded, a package with three sessions left that nobody tracked, a stylist whose commission was counted wrong. A web app fixes these by keeping one calendar and one customer record. We build it around how your floor actually runs, not around a generic template, and we say if an existing tool is enough.

What salons and spas need from a web app

01

A calendar that knows each person

Services take different lengths and need specific staff or rooms. A colour with a patch test, a massage in a room with a steam bath, a bridal trial: the calendar must block the right resources together.

02

Packages and memberships tracked to the session

Prepaid packages, validity dates and shared family memberships create arguments at billing. The system should show sessions left, expiry and who used them, on the bill itself.

03

Reminders that cut no-shows

A WhatsApp message a day before, and a short one two hours before, reduces empty chairs. Clients should be able to confirm or reschedule by replying or tapping a link.

04

Billing with GST and staff incentives

Bills need GST in the right form, split payments across cash and UPI, and product sales on the same invoice. Owners also want incentives per stylist calculated without a spreadsheet.

What we build for salon and spa web apps

01

Appointment calendar and online booking

Day and week views by staff and room, with a public booking page that shows only open, valid slots. Walk-ins are added in two taps.

02

Customer profile and service history

Preferences, allergies, past colour formulas, photos with consent and notes by stylist. A returning client is served faster and more safely.

03

Packages, memberships and wallet

Sell, track and redeem sessions or stored value, with refund and transfer rules you define. Expiry reminders go out before the date, not after.

04

Billing, stock and reports

Counter billing, product stock for retail and back-bar use, daily cash close and reports by outlet, service and stylist. Data exports to your accountant.

When this is the wrong choice. If you run a small single-chair studio with a few bookings a day, a ready-made booking tool will cost less than a custom build. Choose custom only when your packages, rooms or branches do not fit those tools.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. GST) for a web app

Price rises with branches, memberships logic and billing integrations. We quote a fixed price in writing after a discovery call, and a first version can cover booking and billing only.

Questions we get asked

Will staff manage with a tablet at the counter?

Yes. The app works on a normal browser, so a tablet, PC or phone is enough. We keep screens large, with few taps for booking and billing, and test on the same devices your reception uses. Training for the team is part of the handover.

Can the app send WhatsApp reminders?

Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API, which needs an approved sender and message templates. Providers charge per conversation, so we show the expected running cost in advance. If you prefer, we can start with SMS or email while approval comes through.

How does it handle staff leaving or commission?

Each stylist has a schedule, services and an incentive rule that you define, such as a percentage above a target. When someone leaves, we deactivate them and keep their history. Their clients stay in your database, and customer notes remain with you.

Can it handle several branches with shared customers?

Yes. A customer record can be shared, so a membership bought in one branch can be used in another, if you allow it. Reports can be filtered by branch, and each outlet manager sees only their own data.
