Website Speed Optimization for Sites That Lose Visitors on Mobile
We find what is actually slowing your site, fix it in order of impact, and show you the before and after on a mid-range Android phone over 4G.
Most Indian business sites are opened on a mid-range Android phone, on mobile data that drops to one bar in a lift or a bus. A page that feels fine on an office laptop over fibre can take eight seconds there. People do not wait. They go back and tap the next result or call a competitor.
Website speed optimization at NioDelta starts with measurement, not a plugin install. We test your pages on throttled mobile, read the Core Web Vitals field data, and trace each delay to its cause. Then we fix causes in order of effect, and we hand you a short report you can read without a developer.
Why your website feels slow, even after you paid for good hosting
Photos straight from the camera
A 4 MB banner photo uploaded from a phone is common. It decodes slowly and eats the visitor's data pack. Resizing and modern formats usually remove more load time than any other single change.
Plugin and theme bloat
A typical WordPress site runs a page builder, a slider, a pop-up tool and three analytics scripts. Each one adds files that block the first paint. Many of them run on pages where they do nothing.
Cheap shared hosting far from your users
A server in another continent adds delay to every request. Overloaded shared plans also slow down when a neighbour's site gets traffic. Where the server sits and how it is configured matters as much as its price.
Third-party scripts nobody owns
Chat widgets, heatmaps, old tracking pixels and font loaders pile up over the years. Nobody remembers who added them. Together they can hold up the page longer than your own code does.
What our speed optimization work covers
Baseline audit on real conditions
We test key pages on a throttled mobile profile and check Chrome field data where your traffic is large enough to have it. You get a ranked list of causes, not a score screenshot.
Core Web Vitals fixes
We work on Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and layout shift. That means correct image sizes, preloading the hero asset, deferring script and reserving space for ads and embeds.
Images, fonts and media
We convert to WebP or AVIF with fallbacks, serve responsive sizes and lazy-load below the fold. Fonts get subsetted, so a Devanagari or regional script does not pull in a 600 KB file.
Caching and CDN setup
Page cache, object cache and browser cache rules are set to match how your content changes. A CDN with edge nodes in India is added when your audience is spread across the country.
Plugin, theme and database clean-up
We remove or replace heavy plugins, trim unused CSS and clear years of revisions, transients and orphaned tables. Anything we remove is logged so you can reverse it.
Hosting review and migration
If the server is the limit, we say so and recommend a plan sized to your traffic. We can migrate with DNS cut-over planned for a quiet hour, and keep the old copy until you are satisfied.
How a speed project runs, from audit to retest
Discover
We get read-only access, list your top landing pages and confirm which devices and cities your visitors use. We record baseline numbers on throttled mobile.
Define
We rank the causes by expected gain and effort and agree a fixed scope. You approve which pages and which plugins are in the first round.
Design
We plan image rules, cache layers and script loading order, and mark anything that changes how the site looks. Visual changes are shown on staging before they go live.
Build
We make the changes on a staging copy, test forms, checkout and tracking, then move them to production with a backup in place.
Ship & extend
We retest on the same conditions and share the comparison. One month of support follows, and a website care plan can keep new uploads and plugin updates from undoing the gains.
What it costs
Speed work has no fixed anchor because a 10-page brochure site and a 5,000-product store need very different effort. After a short audit we give a fixed written quote for the agreed scope.
- Number of templates, not number of pages
- Platform: WordPress, Shopify, custom or headless
- Third-party scripts you must keep
- Hosting change or migration needed
- Ongoing monitoring under a care plan
All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.
Questions we get asked
How much faster will my site get?
We do not promise a number before we test. Sites with oversized images and many plugins often improve a lot, while a clean site gains little. You get measured before and after results on the same mobile profile, so the change is visible.
Will speed optimization improve my Google ranking?
Page experience is one signal among many, and relevance matters more. A faster site does keep more visitors and lifts form and checkout completion. We treat speed as a conversion and usability fix, and we do not sell search rankings.
Can you do this on a Shopify or WooCommerce store?
Yes. On Shopify we work with theme code, apps and images, since the server is not ours to change. On WooCommerce we also tune hosting, caching and the database. Cart and checkout pages are cached carefully so customers never see stale baskets.
Do I need to change my hosting?
Only if the audit shows the server is the limit. Many sites are slow because of images and scripts, and a new host would not help. When hosting is the problem, we recommend a plan size and handle the migration.
Is there any risk to my live website?
We work on a staging copy and take a full backup before any production change. Forms, payment flow and tracking tags are tested after each release. Every change is logged so we can roll it back quickly.
Will the site stay fast after you finish?
Speed drifts when new uploads, plugins and scripts are added. We give your team simple image and plugin rules. A website care plan starting at ₹3,750 per month plus GST can include periodic retests and updates.
