Hire Android Developers for Apps That Work on Real Indian Phones

Kotlin and cross-platform Android developers who test on low-end devices, handle Play Store policy and hand you the keys.

Most smartphone users in India are on Android, and many use phones with 3 or 4 GB of RAM, limited storage and uneven mobile data. If you want to hire Android developers, that is the audience to keep in mind, not the latest flagship. Test devices, app size and slow networks should shape the work from the first week.

We are a Pune studio, founded in 2017. You can take an Android developer as a monthly seat or buy a fixed-scope app. We write native Kotlin when the app needs it, and Flutter or React Native when you also want iOS. Either way, you get repository access from the first day and keep the Play Console account in your own name.

Problems Android projects run into

01

Fragmentation

Dozens of manufacturers, screen sizes and Android versions mean an app can behave differently on each. A developer needs a spread of test devices, not one phone.

02

Battery and background limits

Some manufacturers close background apps aggressively. Delivery tracking, reminders and attendance features need design choices that survive this.

03

Play Store policy changes

Target API levels, data safety forms, permissions and account deletion rules change often. Apps that miss a deadline can lose updates or be removed.

04

Heavy apps for light budgets

Large app size and slow screens cost you installs in places where data and storage are limited. Size and speed need tracking from day one.

Android developer work we take on

01

New Android apps

Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, clean structure and a backend where needed. Mobile apps start at ₹2,00,000 (excl. GST) as a fixed-scope build.

02

Android and iOS together

If you want both platforms, we recommend Flutter or React Native and explain the trade-offs against writing two native apps.

03

Play Store submission

Listing, data safety form, signing, internal and closed testing tracks, and answering review feedback. The developer account stays in your name.

04

Device features

Camera, location, Bluetooth, biometric login, SMS and notification handling, built with the permission rules that Google now applies.

05

Performance on low-end phones

Smaller APK size, lazy loading, image handling and offline caching, tested on budget devices.

06

Updates and compliance

Annual target API upgrades, crash fixes and library updates through a monthly developer seat or care plan.

When this is the wrong choice. If your users are mostly on iPhones, such as certain premium or export audiences, start with iOS or a cross-platform build. If you only need a content site, an installable web app can be enough. Native Android is not required for every idea.

How we run an Android engagement

01

Discover

We learn who your users are, what phones they hold and how they connect. That shapes the build more than any feature list.

02

Define

We agree scope, devices to support, monthly seat or fixed quote, and who owns accounts and keys. All of it is written down.

03

Design

Material-style screens tested at small sizes first, with large text and slow-network states designed in rather than added later.

04

Build

Builds land on your phone each cycle. We test on budget and mid-range devices and share crash reports as we go.

05

Ship & extend

We release through staged rollout on Play Store, watch crash data and support you for one month. A monthly seat can follow.

What it costs

Mobile app starts at ₹2,00,000 (excl. GST)

That is where a fixed-scope app begins. A dedicated Android developer by the month is quoted after a discovery call and depends on seniority and workload.

  • Native or cross-platform
  • Backend and admin needs
  • Device features used
  • Offline requirements
  • Seat or fixed scope

All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.

Questions we get asked

Native Kotlin or Flutter for Android?

Choose Kotlin when you need deep device access, tight performance or Android-only reach. Choose Flutter if you also want iOS from one codebase. Both can reach the Play Store, and we give a written recommendation after hearing your plans.

Will you test on cheap phones?

Yes. We test on budget and mid-range Android devices and slow connections, not just a new flagship. We also check app size and start-up time, because these affect installs and uninstalls among users on limited data plans.

Who handles Play Store review?

We prepare the listing, data safety form and testing tracks, and respond to review comments. The Play Console account belongs to you, and we work with the access you grant, which you can remove whenever you like.

Can I hire an Android developer part-time?

Part-time seats are possible for smaller backlogs, such as upgrades or bug fixes. The arrangement and cost are quoted after a discovery call. For a new app build, a fixed-scope project is usually cleaner than part-time help.

What about my existing Android app?

We can audit it, covering target API level, crash rates, library versions and security basics, then advise whether to upgrade or rebuild. You get the findings in writing, and there is no obligation to continue with us.

How do you keep delivery on schedule with a small team?

We keep cycles short, demo every two weeks and list risks early. If your developer is unavailable, another one from the bench steps in using the repository and task notes. Terms are written into the agreement.

Ready to scope it?
