Questions we get asked
Is PHP still a sensible choice for a new project?
Yes, for web applications, portals and content tools. PHP 8 is fast and well supported, and hosting is cheap and widely available in India. For a new build we usually suggest a framework such as Laravel rather than plain PHP files.
Can you fix an old PHP application without rewriting it?
Usually, yes. We first read the code, add backups and a staging copy, then fix the highest-risk issues one at a time. A rewrite is considered only when the code cannot be changed safely, and we tell you why before proposing it.
Will you work on my existing hosting?
Yes, if it can run a supported PHP version. We review cPanel or VPS access during discovery. If the host is the bottleneck, we say so and suggest a move, but you decide and you keep the account in your name.
How do I know the developer is good before I commit?
Ask for a one-month start and a short code review of your project. You will see how they explain problems, how they use Git and how clear the weekly notes are. Month one is a fair test for both sides.
Who owns the source code?
You own it. All work is committed to a repository in your account and handed over with deployment notes. We do not hold back files or keep special access to your servers after the engagement ends.
