Website Development for Political Campaigns

A candidate or party website that explains who you are, what you will do for the constituency and how people can help.

This page covers political campaign website development: a public site for a candidate, an independent group or a local party unit. It carries the profile, the agenda, constituency information, events and a way for volunteers to join. We build the site. Content, claims and spending remain your responsibility. We publish only what you give us.

Campaign sites are judged in the first ten seconds, mostly on a phone, often by someone who arrived from a WhatsApp forward. The page has to load quickly, read in the local language and make the next step obvious. A site that tries to say everything usually says nothing. Fewer pages, clearer pages.

What a campaign website needs to do

01

Load fast on voter phones

Most visitors are on mid-range Android phones on mobile data. Pages need small images and plain layouts, or the visitor leaves before the candidate's name appears.

02

Speak the voter's language

A Marathi or Hindi version is not a translation exercise only. Headings, fonts and tone should match how people in that constituency talk, with English as an option.

03

Make local issues findable

Voters look for their own ward, village or road. Pages organised by area, with the candidate's stated plans for each, are more useful than a general manifesto.

04

Stay within the rules

Election authorities set rules on advertising, disclaimers and conduct, which vary by election and period. You must confirm requirements with your own legal or election adviser before publishing.

What we build for campaign websites

01

Candidate profile and agenda pages

A clear profile, a short agenda in plain language and a page for each major issue. Everything is editable by your media team through a simple admin.

02

Constituency and ward pages

One page per ward or area, listing local issues, planned work and contact points. Useful for door-to-door teams to share a specific link.

03

Volunteer and event sign-up

A short form for volunteers with area and availability, plus an events calendar with maps. Submissions go to a sheet or admin list your team controls.

04

WhatsApp join and share buttons

A join button for a broadcast list or group, and share buttons that produce clean previews. The site does not send bulk messages itself.

When this is the wrong choice. If the campaign only needs a poster-style page for a few weeks, a single landing page is cheaper and faster than a full site. Do not build a site you cannot keep updated through the election period.

What it costs

Business website starts at ₹45,000 (excl. GST)

A one-page landing site starts at ₹17,500. Language versions, page count and the speed you need the site live all affect the quote.

Questions we get asked

Can you keep the site live through counting day without crashing?

We plan hosting for traffic spikes and use caching, so static pages hold up. We cannot promise zero downtime on shared hosting, so we recommend a hosting plan sized for expected peaks. Test with your own team before the peak days.

Who is responsible for the content and claims on the site?

You are. We build and host the site, but the candidate or party owns every statement, photo and figure published. Take advice on election conduct rules and disclaimers before anything goes live. Get written approval from the candidate for key claims.

Can the site be in Marathi and Hindi as well as English?

Yes. We handle all three in-house, with proper fonts and spacing for Devanagari. A native reader from your team should review final copy, since tone matters more than literal translation. We set sensible fallbacks for older phones.

What happens to the website after the election?

You choose. It can continue as a constituency work page, be archived as a static site or be taken down. We can move hosting to your account so you hold full control either way. Domain stays in your name.
