B2B Portal Development for Dealers, Distributors and Trade Buyers

A login-only ordering site where your dealers see their own prices, stock and ledger, and place repeat orders without calling your sales team.

Many Indian manufacturers and wholesalers still take orders through a mix of WhatsApp messages, phone calls and Excel sheets. It works until volume grows. Then prices get quoted wrongly, a dealer asks for last month's invoice, and a salesperson spends the day typing orders into Tally. That is time your sales team should spend on selling.

A B2B portal moves that routine to a login. Each dealer sees only the prices and schemes meant for them, checks their outstanding balance and reorders in a few taps. NioDelta builds these portals around your existing accounting software, so your team does not enter anything twice. Your dealers stop waiting for a callback, and your team stops retyping.

What goes wrong when trade orders run on chat and sheets

01

One price list, many exceptions

Dealers get different rates by city, volume and relationship. These live in someone's head or in a sheet. A wrong rate quoted by phone becomes a dispute at payment time.

02

Stock and credit are invisible

The dealer does not know what is available, and your salesperson does not know the dealer's credit position until they check the ledger. Orders get accepted and then delayed or cancelled.

03

Repeat orders cost the same as new ones

Most B2B orders are repeats of last month's list. Without a reorder button, each one still takes a call, a message and a manual entry.

04

Double entry into accounts

Orders typed into Tally, Busy or an ERP by hand create mistakes and delays. The sales team becomes a data entry team.

What a dealer and distributor portal from us includes

01

Dealer logins and approvals

Dealers register with GSTIN, you approve and assign a tier, region and credit limit. Sub-users such as a purchase manager and an accountant can have limited roles.

02

Tiered and negotiated pricing

Price lists by dealer group, quantity slabs, schemes and validity dates. A dealer sees only their own rate, and your admin can override one item for one account.

03

Catalogue, stock and MOQ rules

Product variants, pack sizes, minimum order quantities and live or daily-synced stock. Out-of-stock items can accept a back-order if you allow it.

04

Ledger, invoices and payments

Dealers see outstanding amount, aged balances, invoices and credit notes, and can download GST invoices. Payment through UPI, net banking or a payment link can be recorded against the invoice.

05

Repeat orders and quick order sheets

A reorder button on past orders, and a bulk entry sheet where a dealer pastes or uploads item codes and quantities. This is the feature dealers usually value most.

06

Accounting and ERP sync

We connect to Tally, Busy, Zoho Books or your ERP through their API or export files, so orders, invoices and ledgers match. Sales staff can also punch orders on behalf of a dealer.

When this is the wrong choice. If you have fewer than twenty regular trade buyers and each orders a few times a year, a shared catalogue PDF and a good WhatsApp routine is enough. If your actual need is retail selling to consumers, an ecommerce store is the right product. A portal also does not fix messy price lists, so clean those first.

How we build a B2B ordering portal

01

Discover

We sit with your sales, accounts and dispatch people and trace one order from enquiry to payment. We note every exception, such as scheme rates and credit holds.

02

Define

We write the pricing and credit rules in plain language and fix the accounting integration method. You approve the rule sheet before design starts.

03

Design

We design the dealer view for a phone first, since many dealers order from a shop counter on mobile. The admin view focuses on approvals and exceptions.

04

Build

We load a sample of your real products and dealers into staging. Your sales team places test orders so pricing errors show up before launch.

05

Ship & extend

We onboard a few dealers first, then the rest in batches. Support for one month follows, and phase two can add field-sales ordering, targets and WhatsApp order alerts.

What it costs

Starts at ₹1,50,000 (excl. GST)

That anchor fits a web app with logins, catalogue and ordering. Custom pricing logic and accounting sync raise the effort, so we quote a fixed amount after a discovery call.

  • Number of price tiers and scheme types
  • Accounting or ERP integration
  • Credit limit and approval workflow
  • Sales-staff mobile app
  • Product count and data clean-up

All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.

Questions we get asked

Can the portal show different prices to different dealers?

Yes. Prices can be set by dealer group, region, quantity slab or by an individual account. A dealer sees only their own rate. Your team can set an end date on schemes so old rates stop applying automatically.

Will it connect to Tally or Busy?

Usually yes. We sync items, parties, orders and invoices through the available API, a connector utility or scheduled file exchange. The method depends on your version and setup, and we confirm it during discovery before quoting.

Can we block orders when a dealer exceeds the credit limit?

Yes. You can hold orders above the limit for approval, or block them. The rule is yours, and the dealer sees a clear message with the outstanding amount instead of a failed checkout. Approved exceptions can still be released by your accounts team in one click.

Will older dealers actually use it?

Adoption depends on making it easier than a phone call. We build a quick-order sheet, a reorder button and a Hindi or regional-language option if needed. Your sales team also gets an option to place orders on a dealer's behalf.

Can the portal take online payments?

Yes, through Razorpay, Cashfree or PayU, with UPI and net banking. Many B2B buyers still pay by NEFT against credit, so the portal records offline payments against invoices as well. We also add a Hindi or regional language option where dealers prefer it.

How is this different from an ecommerce store?

A store sells to anyone at one price. A B2B portal is private, has approved accounts, dealer-specific pricing, credit and a ledger. We can combine both if you sell to dealers and to consumers. We can also show a combined dealer view if you sell both ways.
