Construction Software and App Development for Builders and Contractors

Site progress apps, material and billing trackers, RERA-ready project pages and tender portals for builders, contractors and infrastructure firms.

Construction software and app development works only if the site engineer will actually use it. Most sites run on WhatsApp photos, handwritten registers and an Excel file at head office. Software that needs a laptop and a clean desk is abandoned within a month. A site tool earns its place only by saving the engineer time on the first day.

NioDelta, a Pune studio working since 2017, builds web and mobile tools for builders and contractors. We design for the person standing on a slab with a mid-range phone and bright sunlight, then give the office the reports it needs without chasing site staff. Expect to be asked for a site visit or a video walk-through before we quote anything.

What construction businesses struggle with

01

Progress is invisible

Directors hear about delays after the fact. Daily reports arrive as photos on WhatsApp, and nobody can compare planned and actual progress.

02

Material leakage

Indents, issues and returns of cement, steel and other material are recorded late or not at all. Stock mismatches show up at billing time.

03

Billing disputes

Running account bills, measurements and subcontractor payments depend on records that were typed afterwards. Clients and subcontractors dispute quantities.

04

Marketing pages and compliance

Developers must show project registration details on promotional material under RERA. Pages that omit them, or buyers asking for updates, create avoidable trouble.

Construction software and app development we build

01

Site progress app

Engineers log daily work, labour count, material received and issues with geotagged photos. The app works offline and uploads when the phone finds a signal.

02

Project dashboard for head office

Planned versus actual progress by project, tower or package, with delays flagged. Directors see it on a phone without calling the site.

03

Material indents and stock

Raise indents, approve them, record deliveries and issue material to work areas. Store keepers get a simple screen, and wastage reports follow.

04

Measurements and RA bills

Record work quantities against the BOQ, generate running account bills and track subcontractor payments. Rates and deductions are set by your rules.

05

Developer project website

Project pages, floor plans, construction updates, and the registration details the law requires you to show. Enquiries flow into a lead register.

06

Tender and vendor portal

Public tender listings, vendor registration with document upload, and bid submission tracking for infrastructure firms. Government e-tender portals remain separate, and we link to them.

When this is the wrong choice. If you handle two or three small projects, a shared spreadsheet and a WhatsApp group with a fixed daily report format may be enough. Large contractors who already run an ERP should first ask whether its mobile module can be extended. Custom software pays back when the same pain repeats across many sites.

How a construction project runs

01

Discover

We visit or video-call a live site and the head office accounts desk. We trace one material from indent to payment and one bill from measurement to certification.

02

Define

The scope lists the site forms, approvals, reports and roles, with a fixed quote. We mark what depends on your ERP or accounting software.

03

Design

Large buttons, minimal typing, photo-first entry and screens that work in sunlight. Tested with actual site staff.

04

Build

Offline entry and sync come first, then approvals and reports. We test on the slow, dusty reality of a live site.

05

Ship & extend

Pilot on one project, fix what site staff dislike, then roll out to the rest. One month of support follows launch.

What it costs

Web systems start at ₹1,50,000; site apps from ₹2,00,000

A custom web system for tracking and billing starts at ₹1,50,000, and a mobile site app starts at ₹2,00,000. Number of projects, approval chains and ERP links move the final quote.

  • Number of sites and users
  • Approval workflows
  • BOQ and billing rules
  • Offline sync needs
  • ERP or Tally connection

All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.

Questions we get asked

Will it work on site with poor signal?

Yes. The app saves entries on the phone and syncs once a signal is available. Photos are compressed to save data. We test on mid-range Android phones, because that is what most site engineers actually carry.

Can it connect to Tally or our accounts software?

We can export bills, vendor payments and stock reports in formats your accountant imports, and connect directly where an API exists. Direct integration depends on your version and setup, so we confirm in the discovery call.

Do you handle RERA details on the website?

We include fields and layout for the registration details you must display, such as the project registration number. Your legal advisor confirms what applies in your state, and you supply the exact wording and numbers.

Can we track labour attendance too?

Yes. Contractors can log labour count by trade and subcontractor, with photo or QR check-in if you want it. For wider payroll and compliance needs, our HRMS work covers attendance, payroll and statutory records. Statutory registers are produced from the same attendance records.

How do you handle multiple projects and companies?

Each project has its own team, budget and approvals, while directors see a combined view. If you run several legal entities, we keep their records and invoices separate in the same system. Access rules ensure no one sees another company's figures.

Can vendors register on the website?

Yes. A vendor portal lets suppliers and subcontractors submit company details and documents, which your team reviews and approves. Approved vendors can then receive enquiries and work orders through the system. Documents have expiry dates, and the system reminds you before a vendor's papers lapse.
