ERP Software Development for Growing Businesses
Custom ERP modules for sales, purchase, stock, accounts hand-off and reporting, rolled out in phases so your team keeps working while you switch.
ERP software development means building the one system that connects your sales, purchase, stock, production and reports, instead of five spreadsheets and a billing tool. Done well, nobody re-enters the same data twice. Done badly, it becomes an expensive system your staff quietly avoid. Most Indian SMEs only need a handful of modules to feel the difference.
NioDelta is a Pune studio, founded in 2017, and we build custom ERP in modules, not as one giant launch. Before we write a line, we also check whether a ready-made package would serve you better, because for many firms it will. You then decide with facts, not with a vendor's pitch.
Why ERP projects fail
Big-bang rollout
Switching every department on one date is how businesses stall for a month. Staff are trained on a system they have not seen working, and old habits return quickly. We prefer one department live and stable before the next begins.
Process copied from paper
An ERP that mirrors a messy manual process only makes the mess faster. Someone has to decide what the process should be first. A short process workshop before design usually saves weeks of rework later.
Dirty opening data
Customer lists, item masters and opening balances come from many sources. If they are not cleaned before import, every report starts wrong. We run test imports and send you error lists until the numbers tie back to your books.
No owner inside the company
Without a senior person who decides disputes between departments, the build drifts. ERP is an operations project that happens to need software. We ask you to name that person in the first week.
Custom ERP software development, module by module
Sales and invoicing
Quotations, orders, GST invoices, e-invoice and e-way bill hand-off, receipts and outstanding follow-up by customer. Credit limits can block an order for a customer who is overdue.
Purchase and vendors
Purchase requests, orders, goods receipt, vendor ledgers and approval levels based on amount. Price history per vendor helps you negotiate with facts.
Inventory and production
Stock by location, batches, simple bill of materials and job orders for small manufacturing and assembly units. Reorder levels warn the store before a line stops.
Accounts hand-off
Clean exports and ledgers that feed Tally or your accountant's software, rather than replacing full accounting on day one. Month-end closing then needs fewer manual corrections.
Roles and approvals
Permissions by role, approval chains and an audit trail of who changed what and when. Sensitive figures such as margins can be hidden from most roles.
Reports and dashboards
Daily sales, stock ageing, receivables, purchase status and owner-level summaries available on the web and mobile. Owners can check the day's numbers from a phone before the first meeting.
A phased ERP rollout
Discover
We sit with each department, follow one order from enquiry to payment, and list the points where data is re-typed or lost.
Define
Modules are ranked by pain. Phase one is the smallest set that removes the worst problems, with a fixed written quote.
Design
Screens and approval flows are mocked up and reviewed with the people who will use them daily, not only with management.
Build
Phase one is built, filled with your cleaned data, and run in parallel with the old method for a short period.
Ship & extend
Go-live with training, one month of support, then the next module based on what the first revealed.
What it costs
This is our custom software anchor with the 50% launch discount applied, suited to a focused first phase. A full multi-module ERP is quoted after a discovery call, and we always phase it. Licence fees to us do not exist, so cost does not rise with headcount.
- Number of modules in phase one
- Users and approval levels
- Data migration volume and cleanliness
- Integrations with Tally or other tools
- Reports and mobile access
All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.
Questions we get asked
Custom ERP or off-the-shelf package?
If a package fits 80 percent of your process, buy it and customise lightly. Build custom when your workflow is unusual, per-user licence fees keep climbing, or you must integrate with your own systems. We will tell you honestly during discovery, even if the answer is not to build.
Can you build only one module first?
Yes, and we recommend it. Start with the area that hurts most, usually sales and stock or purchase. The data model is planned so later modules plug in. Phasing lowers risk and lets your team learn the system gradually.
How do you handle our existing data?
We agree a data migration plan in the Define stage. Customers, items, vendors and opening balances are cleaned, mapped and imported in test runs before go-live. Duplicate and missing entries are reported back to you for correction, because we cannot guess business facts.
Will it work with Tally and GST?
Yes. Invoices carry GST breakup, HSN codes and place of supply, and we can export vouchers for Tally or your accountant. E-invoice and e-way bill integration depends on your turnover and the API provider, and we scope it per project.
How long does an ERP take?
A focused first phase usually takes a few months, depending on modules and data cleanliness. We give a dated plan after discovery rather than a number from a brochure. Larger ERPs run in phases, each with its own scope and delivery date.
Do we own the source code?
Yes. You own the code, database and hosting accounts. There are no per-user licence fees to us. You can continue with us on a monthly plan, with another vendor, or in-house, using the documentation we provide at handover.
