Gaming website and app development for studios, esports teams and organisers
Websites, tournament tools and companion apps for game studios and esports communities. Skill and casual games, not unlicensed betting.
Gaming is a wide label. A studio shipping a casual puzzle game, a college esports league and a fantasy or cash-contest platform need very different software, and very different legal advice. Gaming website and app development starts by deciding which of those you are building, because the answer changes payments, KYC, hosting and what you may advertise.
We work with game studios, tournament organisers, esports teams and community owners. We build the web and mobile layer around the game: store pages, accounts, leaderboards, brackets, match lobbies, purchases and admin tools. We do not build the game engine itself, and we do not build real-money gaming products.
Where gaming projects run into trouble
Real-money rules are unclear
Games where users stake money are regulated heavily in India, and the position differs by state and by product type. Many founders discover this after building. Take legal advice on your exact model before any code is written.
Tournaments run on spreadsheets
Organisers collect registrations in a form, track brackets in a sheet and announce results on Discord. Late changes, no-shows and disputed scores take hours to sort out on match day.
Players expect fast and fair
A leaderboard that lags, a purchase that fails on UPI or a server that restarts mid-match loses players quickly. Cheating and fake accounts make a small community feel unfair.
Marketing site and game are disconnected
The landing page, the Play Store listing and the in-game account all show different data. Players cannot find patch notes, support or their purchase history in one place.
What we build in gaming website and app development
Studio and game marketing sites
Fast pages with trailers, screenshots, press kit, patch notes and store links. Pages are built for players on low-end Android phones, who are most of the Indian audience.
Player accounts and leaderboards
Sign-in with phone OTP or Google, profiles, scores, ranks and friends lists. Leaderboards are computed on the server so they stay consistent and harder to tamper with.
Tournament management
Registration, team rosters, brackets, schedules, score submission with proof and result publishing. Organisers get an admin view for disputes and a public page players can follow live.
Community and clan platforms
Forums, clan pages, event calendars, match finders and Discord sign-in links. Moderation tools let your team remove abuse quickly and keep a log of what was done.
In-app purchases and storefronts
Cosmetic items, passes and top-ups through Razorpay or UPI on the web, with GST invoices. For app stores we build around Google Play Billing rules, which apply to digital goods.
Companion and admin apps
Flutter or React Native apps for stats, notifications and match check-in, plus admin dashboards for live operations, bans, refunds and content updates.
How a gaming build runs
Discover
We ask what players do, what they pay for and whether any money can be won. That answer decides scope, and we flag when legal advice is needed first.
Define
We write down accounts, game events to track, tournament rules, payment flows and admin roles. You get a written scope and fixed quote for the agreed version.
Design
We design screens for small phones and slow data, including empty and loading states. A match day flow is walked through with your organiser.
Build
We build the backend first, test leaderboards and brackets with simulated players, then connect the web and app screens. Load tests are run before any public event.
Ship & extend
We launch with monitoring, backups and a rollback plan, and support you for one month. Seasons, new game modes and new tournaments are added in later phases.
What it costs
A game marketing site fits the business website anchor, while tournament and account systems are web app work. Companion apps start at ₹2,00,000 and live-play features are quoted after a discovery call.
- Number of players expected at peak
- Realtime features such as live brackets
- Payment and purchase flows
- Moderation and anti-abuse tools
- Web, Android and iOS coverage
All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.
Questions we get asked
Do you build real-money or betting games?
No. We do not build unlicensed betting or gambling products. Real-money gaming is heavily regulated in India and varies by state, so you must take legal advice on your model first. We can build the site, accounts and admin tools for casual and skill games without cash prizes.
Can you build the game itself?
Not the game engine. We build everything around it, such as websites, accounts, leaderboards, tournament tools and apps. For browser-based casual games, we can host and wrap a game made in a tool you already use, and connect scores to a server.
Can you run a college or city esports tournament platform?
Yes. Registration, team rosters, brackets, schedules, score proof upload and public results are a common starting point. Entry fees need careful handling and legal review, so we scope free or ticketed events differently from cash prizes.
How do you stop cheating on leaderboards?
Scores are validated on the server, not trusted from the app, and suspicious jumps are flagged for review. No system stops all cheating, but server checks, rate limits and a ban workflow make it much harder and keep your community fairer.
Do you handle Play Store billing for in-game items?
Yes, for digital goods in Android apps we integrate Google Play Billing, since store rules require it. Web purchases can use Razorpay or UPI with GST invoices. We explain the cost difference between channels during scoping, as store fees affect your pricing.
How long does it take?
A game marketing site takes six to ten weeks, and a landing page one to two. A mobile app MVP takes ten to twelve weeks. Tournament platforms and live features are scoped after a discovery call, because player load matters.
