Insurance website and app development for Indian agencies and brokers

Lead capture, renewal tracking and agent portals for independent agents, POSPs, brokers and agency firms. Built around the policy cycle, not around a template.

An insurance sale in India rarely ends at the first call. The customer compares, asks the family, disappears, then returns eleven months later when the renewal notice arrives. Insurance website and app development is mostly about keeping that long thread alive: who enquired, what they were quoted, when the policy ends and who should call next.

We are a small studio in Kothrud, Pune, and we work with agencies, brokers and advisers across India from there. We build the public site, the lead and renewal desk behind it, and the portals your agents and customers use. Product rules, premiums and disclosures stay with your insurer and your compliance adviser.

Where insurance agencies lose business

01

Renewals live in a diary

Policy dates sit in Excel sheets, paper diaries or one agent's head. When that agent leaves, the book of business is hard to reconstruct. Missed renewals are the quietest loss in the trade.

02

Quote requests go cold

A visitor asks for a health or motor quote at night and hears back two days later, if at all. By then another adviser has called. Slow first response costs more than a weak website.

03

Agents work from WhatsApp

Proposal forms, KYC photos and premium receipts travel through personal chats. There is no single record of what was sent, to whom, and when. Handing over a client becomes a scroll through old threads.

04

Customers cannot self-serve

Policyholders ask the same questions again and again. Where is my policy copy, how do I raise a claim, when is the due date. Each repeat call uses time your team could spend selling.

What we build for insurance businesses

01

Insurance agency website

A clear site by product line: health, motor, life, term, travel and commercial cover. Each page explains the cover in plain language, shows the insurer partners you hold an appointment with and carries a quote enquiry form.

02

Quote and lead capture

Short forms and click-to-call buttons feed one lead list with the product, age band or vehicle details. A new enquiry triggers a WhatsApp or email acknowledgement and an alert to the assigned adviser.

03

Policy and renewal tracker

Store each client, policy, insurer, premium and expiry date. The system lists renewals due in the next sixty days and sends reminders to the client and the adviser on a schedule you set.

04

Agent and POSP portal

Agents log in to submit leads, upload documents, see their client list and view commission statements you publish. Managers see activity by agent and can reassign clients when someone leaves.

05

Customer self-service area

Policyholders sign in with a mobile OTP to download policy copies, see due dates and request endorsements or claim help. Claim status is shown as you or the insurer update it, not guessed by us.

06

Comparison pages for your own plans

Side-by-side tables for plans you actually sell, with sum insured, waiting periods and exclusions listed as the insurer states them. Content is entered by your team, and each page carries the disclosures your compliance adviser asks for.

When this is the wrong choice. If you are a single agent with a few hundred clients, a clean website and a well-kept sheet with reminder alerts may be enough. A custom portal pays back when several agents share one book. If you want to sell policies online under your own brand, speak to your insurer and legal adviser first, because that is a regulatory decision before it is a software one.

How an insurance build runs

01

Discover

We map one policy from first enquiry to renewal, including who touches it and which files or chats hold the data. We also list the insurers and tools you already depend on.

02

Define

We fix user roles, the fields stored per client and policy, reminder rules and what stays outside the system. You receive a written scope and a fixed quote, and your compliance adviser can review the disclosure wording.

03

Design

We design the agent screens for fast entry on a phone, because most field agents work from mobile. The public pages are written for a first-time buyer who does not know insurance terms.

04

Build

We build the site, admin panel and tracker in stages, and load a sample of your real client data early so reminders can be tested. Access is restricted by role, and personal data is stored with sensible encryption and backups.

05

Ship & extend

We launch with sitemap, schema and redirects in place and support you for one month. Extra insurers, products or a customer app can be added later.

Questions we get asked

Can the website show IRDAI details and disclosures?

Yes. We add fields for your registration details, insurer appointments and the disclosure text you supply, in the footer and on product pages. Your compliance adviser must confirm exactly what is required and how it should read. We build the placement, we do not write regulatory content.

Do you build a policy comparison engine across insurers?

Not as a live premium engine. That needs insurer APIs and agreements that are outside a normal build. We can build comparison pages for plans you sell, with data your team enters, and a quote form that sends the buyer's details to an adviser.

How are customer documents and KYC stored?

Files are kept in access-controlled cloud storage, not in chat apps, and only users with the right role can open them. We discuss retention with you. What you may keep, and for how long, is a question for your legal adviser.

Can renewal reminders go out on WhatsApp?

Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API, which needs an approved template and a provider account. Reminders can also go by SMS or email. You set the timing, for example thirty, fifteen and three days before expiry.

Can we move our existing client data in?

Usually yes. We import from Excel or CSV after cleaning column formats such as dates and mobile numbers, and we report rows that fail checks. Messy data is the common delay, so we look at a sample during discovery.

How long does an agent portal take?

A business website takes six to ten weeks. A portal with renewal tracking is scoped after discovery, and a first usable version usually sits in a similar range to a mobile app MVP, which is ten to twelve weeks, depending on roles and integrations.
