Manufacturing AI Chatbot and Automation for Sales and Support
Practical AI for manufacturers: sort incoming enquiries, answer dealer questions on WhatsApp and pull data out of purchase orders and drawings.
This page covers AI chatbots and automation for manufacturing businesses. The useful jobs are narrow: sorting RFQs that arrive by email and WhatsApp, answering dealers about order and dispatch status, and reading purchase orders or delivery challans into your system without retyping.
We stay away from big promises about smart factories. A small, well-tested assistant that saves your sales coordinator two hours a day is a fair target. Every output that affects money or safety is checked by a person, and the assistant says when it does not know.
What manufacturers need from AI
Faster first response to RFQs
Enquiries arrive as vague emails, photos of drawings and WhatsApp voice notes. Triage that extracts material, quantity and deadline lets the sales team respond in the same day.
Dealer questions answered without office calls
Dealers ask the same things: dispatch date, invoice copy, price of a part. A WhatsApp assistant reading your order data answers instantly, and routes the rest to staff.
Data extracted from paper and PDFs
Purchase orders, quality certificates and challans arrive in many formats. Extraction tools can read key fields into a sheet or ERP entry for a clerk to verify.
Answers drawn from your own documents
Technical staff search catalogues, manuals and past quotes. An assistant restricted to your documents helps them find answers, with links to the source page.
What we build for manufacturers
RFQ intake and triage assistant
Reads incoming enquiries, pulls out product, quantity, material and delivery date, flags missing details and creates a record for sales. A person approves any reply.
Dealer WhatsApp support bot
Order status, dispatch details and invoice links for dealers, using your ERP or order sheet as the source. Escalates complaints and unusual requests to a staff member.
Document extraction workflow
Reads purchase orders and certificates, fills a review screen and posts approved data to your system. Clerks correct the exceptions, and accuracy improves from those corrections.
Internal knowledge assistant
Search across product manuals, spec sheets and past quotations, with answers that cite the original file. It only answers from approved documents.
What it costs
AI model usage and WhatsApp messaging are running costs paid to those providers. The quote depends on the systems to connect and the document types to read.
Questions we get asked
Can AI read engineering drawings?
Only partly. It can read title blocks, notes and some dimensions from clean PDFs, but complex drawings still need an engineer. We use AI to extract basic fields and flag the file, not to replace technical review.
Is our product data safe if we use an AI service?
We choose providers whose terms say business data is not used to train their models, and explain where text is processed. For sensitive designs, we can limit what is sent. Check your NDAs with your adviser.
Will dealers accept talking to a bot?
Most accept it for routine status checks if they get quick, correct answers and an easy route to a person. We keep replies short, offer a human option in every flow and test with a few friendly dealers first.
Which systems can the assistant read from?
Anything with an API, database access, or scheduled export, including Tally exports, ERPs and Google Sheets. Closed systems without any export limit what we can connect. We check this in discovery. We confirm the exact approach for your case during the free discovery call.
