Telemedicine app development for clinics and doctors

Video consultations, appointment booking, prescriptions and payments in one app for your practice or clinic group. We build the software. Your doctors stay responsible for the medicine.

A telemedicine app is a scheduling, video, records and payment system with one strict condition: patient data must be handled carefully. The software does not diagnose anything. It moves a conversation, a prescription and a payment between a doctor and a patient who may be in another city. Getting that boundary right is most of the design work.

We build for clinics, individual specialists and small hospital groups in India. Our focus is the plain, reliable parts: slot booking that avoids double-booking, video that works on a weak mobile connection, prescriptions that patients can open later, and consent and access controls that you can explain to a patient. Doctors can test each piece on real calls.

What practices find hard about going online

01

Video that drops on patients' networks

Patients join from phones on 4G in small towns. We use adaptive video, a clear audio-only fallback and a one-tap rejoin, since a failed call wastes the doctor's slot and the patient's money.

02

Scheduling chaos

Walk-ins, phone bookings and app bookings all hit the same calendar. We keep one source of slots per doctor, with buffers, reminders on WhatsApp or SMS, and rules for late joins and reschedules.

03

Records scattered across chats

Prescriptions end up in WhatsApp threads and are lost. A structured visit record with notes, uploads and a PDF prescription makes follow-ups easier and keeps history in one place.

04

Privacy that is only a policy page

Patient health data needs real controls: role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logs and a consent record. We build these into the product and flag legal questions for your advisor.

Telemedicine app development services

01

Patient app and web booking

Android, iPhone and web flows for searching doctors, picking a slot, paying and joining the call. Built in Flutter so one codebase serves both phone platforms.

02

Doctor console

A screen for the day's list, patient history, notes during the call, and a prescription writer with templates for common advice. Doctors can set their own hours and fees.

03

Video consultation

Integrated video using a managed real-time provider, with waiting room, audio fallback and call-quality hints. Recording is off by default and only added when you have a documented reason and consent flow.

04

E-prescriptions and records

Prescriptions as PDF with the doctor's details, stored with the visit record. Lab report upload and a simple patient timeline are included. Registration numbers and signatures are entered by the doctor.

05

Payments and invoicing

UPI, cards and wallets through Razorpay or similar, GST-aware invoices where applicable, and refund rules for missed or cancelled calls.

06

Clinic admin panel

For front-desk staff and owners: doctor onboarding, fee settings, reports, reminders and exports. Multi-branch clinics can manage all locations from one place.

When this is the wrong choice. If you want the app to give medical advice, run diagnosis through an algorithm or sell medicines, you need regulatory and clinical guidance beyond what a software studio provides. For a single clinic that only needs bookings and reminders, a simple booking site is cheaper than a full telemedicine platform.

How a telemedicine project runs

01

Discover

We sit with your doctors and front desk to see how a consult really flows, including cancellations and follow-ups. We also list the specialties, languages and patient age groups.

02

Define

You get a written scope covering roles, data stored, consent steps and integrations. We flag points for your legal or medical advisor and do not pretend to settle them.

03

Design

Screens are designed for patients who are not comfortable with apps, with large buttons and local-language options where needed. Doctors review the console on sample days.

04

Build

We build in short cycles with a staging app that your doctors can test on real calls. Load and call-quality testing is done on mobile data, not only office Wi-Fi.

05

Ship & extend

We help with store listings and, for Play Store, the health-related declarations that your team must complete. Support runs for one month, then by care plan if you want.

What it costs

Starts at ₹2,00,000 (excl. GST) for the mobile app, plus back end

A full telemedicine platform spans patient app, doctor console and admin, so we quote after a discovery call. Video minutes and SMS are running costs billed by the providers.

  • Number of roles (patient, doctor, admin, pharmacy)
  • Video provider and expected call minutes
  • Language versions
  • Integrations with clinic software or labs
  • Multi-branch and reporting needs

All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.

Questions we get asked

Does your app provide medical advice?

No. The software only connects doctors and patients and stores what the doctor records. All clinical decisions, advice and prescriptions come from registered practitioners using the app. We do not build diagnostic algorithms or make medical claims about outcomes.

How do you protect patient data?

Role-based access, encrypted connections and storage, audit logs of who viewed a record, and consent capture before a consult. We host in an account you own. Legal compliance questions, such as consent wording, should be confirmed with your own advisor.

Can patients pay with UPI?

Yes. We integrate Razorpay or a similar gateway for UPI, cards and netbanking, with GST invoices where relevant. Refund rules for missed calls are set by you and built into the flow, so the front desk does not handle each case by hand.

Will video work in small towns?

It will work on a reasonable 4G signal. For weak links, the app lowers video quality and can switch to audio only. We test on mobile data. We cannot fix a very poor connection, but we make the call recover quickly.

Can we reuse our existing clinic software?

Often yes, through its API or export files, but many older clinic tools have no integration option. We check this in discovery. If integration is not possible, we can import records once and run the new app alongside.

How long will the first version take?

A focused first version, with booking, video, prescriptions and payments, typically falls within the 10 to 12 week range we quote for mobile app MVPs. Added roles, languages or integrations extend that, and we say so in the written scope.
