Cross-Platform App Development, One Codebase

Android and iPhone apps from a single codebase, built by a studio that ships its own products in Flutter. Fixed quote after a free call.

Cross-platform app development lets one team build your Android and iOS apps together, from a shared codebase. You pay for the app logic once, test it once, and fix a bug once. For most business apps, that is a sensible way to spend a limited budget. It also keeps your design consistent across both stores.

NioDelta has built in Flutter since our own products needed it, so we know where it saves money and where it does not. This page explains the cost split, the trade-offs against native, and what a fair quote should include. Expect plain numbers and honest limits, written down before you commit.

What buyers worry about

01

Paying twice by accident

Some agencies quote separate Android and iOS prices and call it cross-platform. If the quote has two app line items, ask what is actually shared. A fair quote shows one shared build line and a short platform-specific one.

02

Unclear cost versus native

Native is not always dearer by a large margin for a simple app. For a complex one, the gap is real. You need numbers, not slogans.

03

Tied to one vendor

If the framework or the studio disappears, can another team continue? Open frameworks and handed-over source answer this.

04

Feature gaps found late

Bluetooth, background GPS or a new iOS feature may need native modules. Finding out after signing is expensive. We list known native needs during discovery.

Our cross-platform app development service

01

Flutter as the default

Flutter gives consistent screens on both platforms and strong performance on modest hardware. We use it across NioDelta products, so the team knows its edges. Dart code is readable, so a future developer can pick it up without a rewrite.

02

React Native when it fits

If you have React web developers or share logic with a web app, React Native can be the better route. We tell you when that applies. Both tools keep your code portable and your options open.

03

Shared code, platform tweaks

Around the shared core, we handle iOS and Android differences such as permissions, back-button behaviour and notification setup.

04

API and backend

Login by OTP or email, database, payments with Razorpay or other gateways, and the admin panel that runs it all.

05

Device testing

We test on real phones, including older Androids with limited memory, and on current iPhones, not only on emulators.

06

Release and handover

Play Store and App Store submission, source code handover, and documentation so any capable developer can continue.

When this is the wrong choice. Choose native instead if your app is graphics-heavy, relies on advanced camera or AR work, or needs a platform feature the day Apple or Google ships it. A simple brochure app may also not need an app at all; a fast website can serve it better. Also reconsider if all your customers use only one platform; a single-platform app is cheaper still.

From brief to both stores

01

Discover

We learn who uses the app, on which phones, and what they must be able to do offline or on a weak network.

02

Define

Features are ranked into must-have and later. You receive a fixed written quote and a 10 to 12 week MVP plan.

03

Design

Screens designed once, adapted to Android and iOS conventions where it matters, then approved by you.

04

Build

Shared code first, platform specifics next, with a working build on your phone every two weeks.

05

Ship & extend

Store review, launch, one month of support, and a short backlog for version two.

What it costs

Starts at ₹2,00,000 (excl. GST)

Mobile app anchor with the 50% launch discount applied; an MVP typically takes 10 to 12 weeks. Anything with several user apps, such as customer plus provider, is quoted after a discovery call. The quote lists what is included, and what costs extra.

  • Number of user roles
  • Screens and custom design
  • Payments and maps
  • Admin panel scope
  • Integrations with existing systems

All prices exclude 18% GST. See also website costs and app costs.

Questions we get asked

Is cross-platform cheaper than native?

Usually yes for the app layer, because one team writes shared code. The backend, design and testing cost roughly the same either way. Expect a real but not dramatic saving, and ask any studio to show the split.

Which framework do you recommend?

Flutter in most cases, because it behaves consistently on older Android phones and gives full control of design. React Native is a good alternative if you already run a React team. The choice is written into your quote.

Can the app work offline?

Yes, for the parts that need it. Orders or forms can queue locally and sync when the network returns. Offline support adds effort, so we agree which screens need it during the Define stage. For apps used on trains or in basements, this matters.

How long does an MVP take?

Our planning window for a mobile app MVP is 10 to 12 weeks from signed scope. That includes design, build, testing and store submission. Larger multi-app products take longer and are scheduled after discovery. The first working build usually lands within the first month.

Will I own the source code?

Yes. You own the code, design files, and the Play Store and App Store developer accounts. We hand over everything at final payment so you are never dependent on us for the next release. That includes admin credentials and cloud accounts.

What happens after launch?

You get one month of post-launch support for bugs and small fixes. After that, you can continue with us on a monthly plan, hire another team, or run it in-house using the documentation. Feature changes after that are quoted separately.
