Fashion and apparel website and app development for Indian brands
Stores and apps for clothing labels, boutiques and D2C brands, designed around sizing doubts, returns and cash on delivery. Built for shoppers on mid-range Android phones.
A fashion buyer cannot touch the cloth. She guesses the fit from a photo, a size chart and a few reviews, and then decides whether to risk a return. Fashion and apparel website and app development is mostly about reducing that guess: better product pages, honest size help and an exchange process that does not feel like a punishment.
We build the store, the admin behind it and, when the numbers justify it, a shopping app. Most of your traffic will come from Instagram and WhatsApp on phones, so we plan every page for a thumb, a 4G connection and a shopper who leaves after one slow screen.
Where fashion brands lose orders and margin
Returns eat the profit
In clothing, many returns come from size confusion, not from faulty goods. Each reverse pickup costs shipping twice and the item may not be resellable. A store that never asks about size or fit data cannot learn from this.
COD orders that never get delivered
Cash on delivery lifts conversion, but fake or casual orders come back as RTO and you pay both ways. Brands often accept every COD order without a check, then discover the loss at month end.
Variants that break the catalogue
One kurta in six sizes and five colours is thirty stock lines. Spreadsheets drift from the live store, and customers pay for a size that sold out an hour ago.
Slow pages from heavy photography
Fashion needs large images, and large images make slow pages. A lookbook with uncompressed shoots loses the shopper who clicked an Instagram story and is waiting on a weak signal.
What we build for fashion and apparel brands
D2C store on Shopify or WooCommerce
We pick the platform on your catalogue size, team skills and budget, then customise the theme to your brand instead of reskinning a template. GST invoices, UPI, cards and COD are set up from day one.
Size and fit guidance
Size charts per product type, a short fit guide and a model's height and size on each photo. We can add a simple size recommender that asks height and usual size, and record which sizes come back.
Returns and exchange workflow
A request form with reason codes, photo upload where needed, and an exchange-first option before refund. Your team sees pending requests in one list instead of in WhatsApp chats.
COD controls
Pincode serviceability, OTP confirmation on COD orders, and a small advance payment for high-value carts. These rules are set in the admin so you can tighten or relax them by season.
Lookbooks and collection pages
Editorial pages for a festive or seasonal drop, with shoppable images that open the right product and size. Images are served in modern formats and sized for the phone that asks for them.
Brand app and wholesale portal
A Flutter or React Native app for repeat customers with order tracking and wishlist alerts. For labels that sell to retailers, a login-only wholesale catalogue with minimum order quantities and bulk pricing.
How a fashion store build runs
Discover
We review your last few months of orders, returns and RTO reasons, and look at how your photography and sizing are prepared today. We also list every marketplace and courier you already use.
Define
We fix the catalogue structure, variant rules, return policy logic and COD rules, and write them into the scope. You receive a fixed quote after the discovery call.
Design
Product page, cart and checkout are designed phone first, using your real shoot images and your real size charts. We test the size selector with people who are not on your team.
Build
We import the catalogue, connect payments, shipping and WhatsApp updates, and build the returns flow. You place real test orders, including a COD order and an exchange, before launch.
Ship & extend
We launch with redirects from your old store, schema and sitemap, and support you for one month. A seasonal drop or a new collection layout can be added later as a small piece of work.
What it costs
A fashion store with catalogue setup, payments and COD starts at ₹75,000, and a mobile app starts at ₹2,00,000. Returns workflows, wholesale portals and size tools are quoted after a discovery call.

Questions we get asked
Should a fashion brand use Shopify or WooCommerce?
Shopify suits teams that want fewer moving parts and quick launch. WooCommerce suits brands that need deep customisation or already run WordPress. We compare them on your catalogue size, apps you would need, hosting cost and who will manage the store, then recommend one.
Can the store reduce size-related returns?
It can reduce them, not remove them. Clear size charts, model details, fit notes and a short size guide help. We also record the return reason per size, so after a few months you can see which products run small and fix the chart.
How do you handle cash on delivery risk?
We add pincode checks, OTP confirmation on COD orders and an optional advance payment on high-value carts. The rules are editable in the admin. They lower fake orders and failed deliveries, though no rule removes every RTO, so we review the figures with you after launch.
Do you manage our photography?
No. You bring the shoot or hire a photographer. We prepare images for the web, set crop rules so every product looks consistent, and make sure pages stay quick on a mobile network. We can brief the photographer on dimensions.
Can we sell on marketplaces and our own store together?
Yes. Stock can be synced between your store and marketplaces through their APIs or an inventory tool, so one sale updates the count everywhere. Each marketplace has its own rules and fees, and we scope the sync after reviewing which ones you use.
How long does a fashion store take?
An ecommerce store is usually scoped within the business website window of six to ten weeks, depending on catalogue size and returns logic. A mobile app MVP takes ten to twelve weeks. We give a written schedule with the fixed quote.
