Photography website development for photographers and studios

Portfolio sites, private proofing galleries and booking for wedding, portrait, product and commercial photographers. Your pictures stay sharp and your pages stay fast.

A photographer's website has an odd job. It must show large, colour-accurate pictures, load quickly on a phone, and still turn a viewer into a booking. Photography website development is mostly a trade-off between image quality and speed, and then between a pretty gallery and a clear next step for the client.

We build for wedding and event photographers, portrait and maternity studios, product and food shooters, and commercial freelancers. That means a portfolio that sells your style, private galleries where clients pick favourites, and a booking flow that handles dates, advances and packages without a dozen WhatsApp messages.

What goes wrong with photographer websites

01

Great pictures, slow site

Full-size JPEGs make the homepage heavy, and visitors on mobile data give up. Yet heavy compression ruins skin tones. Images need several sizes and sensible formats, chosen per screen.

02

Delivery by Drive and WhatsApp

Sending 800 wedding photos through shared links means clients cannot easily choose their album picks. Links expire, folders get messy and old files are lost when a phone is changed.

03

Price talk eats your time

Every enquiry asks the same questions about packages, travel and advance. Without clear packages and a booking step, you repeat the same conversation daily and still lose people who wanted a quick answer.

04

Your work gets copied

Right-click downloads and screenshots turn your portfolio into someone else's mood board. You cannot stop copying fully, but you can limit casual theft and show proper credit.

What we build for photographers

01

Portfolio website

Full-bleed galleries grouped by wedding, portrait, product or story, with fast loading, keyboard and swipe navigation and a clean page for each shoot. Your style leads and the interface stays out of the way.

02

Private client galleries

Each client gets a password or link-protected gallery. They can view, favourite images and download selected files in the sizes you allow. Galleries can expire on a date you set.

03

Photo selection and proofing

Clients tick favourites and leave a short note on an image, and you receive a clean list for the album designer. This replaces number lists typed into WhatsApp and removes mix-ups.

04

Booking and packages

Package pages with what is included, a date check against your calendar, an advance through Razorpay or UPI and a confirmation on email and WhatsApp. GST invoices are generated where you are registered.

05

Print and album ordering

Clients order prints, framed pictures and albums from their own gallery. Orders go to your lab or your own team with sizes and quantities already filled in.

06

Licensing for commercial work

For stock-style or brand shoots, a page where buyers choose usage, duration and region, and receive a licence document. Pricing rules are set by you.

When this is the wrong choice. If you shoot a few events a month and share galleries by link, a hosted gallery service plus a simple portfolio page can serve you well, and custom proofing is unnecessary. Custom work pays off when you handle many clients, want your own branding on galleries or sell prints and licences.

How a photography website build runs

01

Discover

We review your strongest sets and how you deliver today, from shoot to album. We also check your usual file sizes and how big your library will get.

02

Define

We decide what is public, what is private, which packages are bookable online and what clients may download. You get a written scope and fixed quote.

03

Design

Layouts are built around your actual frames, landscape and portrait, with a neutral background that does not alter colour perception. Mobile comes first.

04

Build

We build image processing, galleries and booking, then test with a real wedding set of several hundred files on average phones and a slow connection.

05

Ship & extend

We launch with schema, sitemap and redirects and support you for one month. Print ordering or licensing can follow once galleries are working.

Questions we get asked

Will compression reduce my image quality?

We keep originals untouched and create web sizes in modern formats at a quality level checked on skin tones and gradients. You can approve the settings on your own pictures. Downloads for clients can still deliver full-resolution files if you choose.

Can clients download all photos in one click?

Yes, if you allow it. You can offer a zip of the full set, selected favourites or web-size copies only, and set an expiry date. Large sets are packaged in the background and emailed, so the page does not hang.

Can I put my watermark on photos?

Yes. A watermark can be applied to proofs and public previews while final deliveries stay clean. A watermark is a deterrent, not protection, so we also disable right-click saving and serve smaller preview sizes, so a screenshot gives a thief little to use.

Can couples share their gallery with family?

Yes. A client can share a view-only link with relatives, and you decide whether those viewers can download. Favouriting stays limited to the main client, so the final album list is not confused by many opinions.

Do I need my own storage?

Large libraries need object storage, which is billed separately by the storage provider based on size and bandwidth. We recommend a plan after learning your yearly volume, and set it up in an account you own, so your originals stay under your control if you ever change developers.

How long does it take?

A landing page takes one to two weeks. A full portfolio website takes six to ten weeks. A proofing and booking system is scoped after a discovery call, since library size and delivery rules vary widely.
